From rawto final

01 · Raw selects30 seconds, with sound

Ungraded, unsorted takes as they come off the card: flat profile, wrong order, overlong, not reframed.

02 · First cut24 seconds, with sound

Story order (first light, bean, grind, shot, cup), trimmed takes and match cuts, every cut on a 120 BPM beat. Still ungraded.

03 · Grade24 seconds, with sound

Shot-matched exposure and colour, then one filmic look across every clip.

04 · Final27 seconds, with sound

Graded edit with editorial typography, captions, lower third, end card and a levelled sound design mix.

Cut on the beat10 shots in 27 seconds, at 120 BPM

Every cut lands on a beat of the 120 BPM track, one beat every half second, so the film feels timed rather than trimmed.

Transcript

Before the city wakes, every batch roasted small. Ground to order. Poured slow. Pressed, pulled, timed. Finished by hand. Northfold, small-batch roasters (a fictional brand). Edited by ZAYR Studio. Showcase edit using licensed stock footage, not client work. There is no dialogue: the soundtrack is an original ambient music bed with room tone and soft hits on each cut.

Audio description

Close-ups of a steaming cup in morning light, roasted beans, grounds falling into a pour-over filter, water poured over the grounds, an espresso tamp and shot, latte art being poured, then a top-down black coffee on a bed of beans, ending on a dark end card.
